Job summary

The Colonial Group is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to promote our parts, services, and processing capabilities across a defined US territory. You will drive end-user engagements, coordinate with local Operations Managers, and leverage CAD/drafting familiarity to support engineered solutions and monitoring programs.

This role requires a customer-focused approach and the ability to articulate value propositions to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in steel/mining/industrial fields.
• 2+ years sales experience with technical knowledge in steel/mining/industrial sectors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with drawings, templates, CAD and nesting software.

Responsibilities

• Sell parts and services to end users in defined geographic area.
• Support use of technology and assist in monitoring program development for end users.
• Coordinate sales growth with local Operations Managers across processing capabilities.
• Drive growth by building relationships with market influencers in key segments (Mining, Recycling, Construction).
• Present company offers effectively in end user, after-market wear parts, and support growth plans.
• Deliver on prioritized areas, coordinating with sales for new business as required.

Job description

The Technical Sales Representative will support and promote the sales of product portfolio and processing, in the form of parts manufactured within network and consultative service programs.

Responsibilities:

• Sale of parts and services to end users in defined geographic assignment, participating in all sales and marketing activities to ensure penetration of the end-user new fabrication, repair, and spare parts business
• Support the utilization of necessary technology and participate in the development and implementation of monitoring programs sold to end users including materials that will enhance company competitive position.
• Work in cooperation with local based Operations Managers to coordinate sales growth of the full range of processing capabilities and parts\
• Successfully deliver the growth objectives by utilizing a close relationship with the market influencers and drivers within key segments (e.g. Mining, Recycling, and Construction, etc.)
• Ensure company offer is presented effectively into the end user, after market, wear parts business in support of growth plans.
• Successfully deliver on prioritized areas, coordinating with sales in the development of new business as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University, or an equivalent combination of education & experience in steel, mining, industrial, recycling or maintenance repair industry
• 2+ years of experience in sales and technical knowledge in the steel, mining, industrial, recycling or maintenance repair industry
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, extremely organized.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience in drawings, working with templates, and basic understanding and interest in CAD and nesting software.
