Job description

E5 Incorporated is a technology company pioneering proprietary nano silica-based admixtures for concrete—including E5 Internal Cure, Liquid Fly Ash, Shot Cure, Catalyst, Miracle Aid, Shield, and Protect—engineered to make concrete easier to pump, place, and finish while improving durability, reducing shrinkage, and advancing sustainable construction.

To learn more, visit www.e5nanosilica.com.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative with real, hands-on command of concrete materials, admixtures, and finishing practices. You will own technical sales and field support for a defined territory—driving product adoption, specification activity, and revenue growth across contractors, finishers, ready-mix producers, engineers, architects, and DOT stakeholders.

Understand the terrain before you apply. Concrete and construction is a hard-nosed, politically driven, incumbency-protected industry where decisions run on entrenched loyalties, gatekeepers, and specifications written to keep newcomers out. A better product is not enough to win here—you have to out-work and outlast people whose livelihood depends on keeping you out. Closed doors, skepticism, and long sales cycles are not obstacles to the work; they are the work. The people who succeed at E5 expect that fight and relish it.

This role rewards dedication, persistence, and discipline, and it puts the company first. We want people who measure themselves by results, take full ownership without being managed, and come back harder after every no. It is not a comfortable, low-pressure seat, and it is not structured around anyone’s personal convenience. If you are looking for an employer that bends to fit your lifestyle, this is not it. If you are driven to win, want your impact to be unmistakable, and have the grit to crack a market that does not want to change, you will do the best work of your career here.

This is an early opportunity to join a company on a steep growth trajectory, where your results are visible and directly tied to the company’s success. Your results here reach beyond the balance sheet: E5’s success directly funds a foundation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. That mission is earned through performance, not sentiment—the better we sell, the more good this company does.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Account Growth

  • Own and grow a defined territory—identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities across the full E5 product line.
  • Proactively engage contractors, finishers, general contractors, ready-mix producers, engineers, architects, and DOT representatives to build a qualified pipeline.
  • Develop long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business, account expansion, and specification pull-through.
  • Lead sales conversations from discovery through close, translating technical performance into clear commercial value—from field crews to project engineers.
  • Identify projects early and position E5 before bid, spec, or pour—often against entrenched incumbents and gatekept specifications.

Technical Support & Field Execution

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned accounts—pre-pour guidance, jobsite support during placement, and follow-up to ensure performance.
  • Support ready-mix producers with mix design integration, dispenser installation guidance, and product handling best practices.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and assist with sample collection and processing as needed.
  • Troubleshoot field concerns and performance questions; escalte internally when appropriate while retaining ownership of the relationship.
  • Deliver technical presentations, lunch-and-learns, and spec sessions for engineers, architects, and project teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely activity, account, and deal records in HubSpot.
  • Build and manage opportunities through defined sales stages with clear next steps.
  • Use ConstructConnect and other tools to identify projects, research prospects, and prioritize effort.
  • Track and report weekly metrics: activity, meetings, pipeline value, technical engagements, and deal progression.

Market Presence & Brand Representation

  • Represent E5 professionally in the field, at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and demonstrations.
  • Stay ahead of local market trends, competitive products, and evolving customer needs to sharpen strategy and positioning.

Job Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience required, with a strong grasp of how concrete projects are sold, specified, and executed.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field—OR a minimum of 10 years of progressive concrete contracting, ready-mix, or admixture experience.
  • 3+ years in technical sales, field sales, or technical support within construction, concrete, building materials, or related industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of concrete materials, admixture chemistry, mix design, and finishing practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both field crews and engineering/specification audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a metrics-driven, CRM-focused environment (HubSpot a plus).
  • Self-directed, disciplined, and fully accountable for results with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and to work occasional evenings, early mornings, or weekends for jobsite support—this is a field job, not a desk job.
  • Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
