Job summary

Innovative Control Systems, Inc. (ICS) seeks a Technical Sales Representative to support regional sales teams with RFQs, technical quotes, and accurate order processing. You will coordinate with Support, Accounting, and Production while maintaining strong customer relationships and applying ERP/CRM tools.

The role requires a technical degree or related experience, CAD knowledge, and excellent communication skills. On-site role with travel as needed; competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical sales or similar role.
• Technical or Associate degree in Electrical/Engineering or related field.
• Experience using ERP (Oracle) to gather data for quotes and order updates.
• CRM experience with Salesforce and Zendesk in quoting and client interactions.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support regional commercial teams with RFQ and technical support.
• Review customer specs, recommend products, and develop technical quotes.
• Update quotes/orders in Oracle, Salesforce, and RFQ systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional sales managers and channel partners.
• Maintain high level of service as customer base grows.
• Coordinate shipments and installation dates with customers; enter orders.

Summary: The Technical Sales Representative is a new role to Innovative Control Systems designed to be the technical resource supporting our regional outside sales team, inside sales team, and customer base, verifying technical quote accuracy, order entry, and providing a high level of service to meet customer needs. In addition to the sales team, this role will also work closely with Support, Accounting and Production Departments. This person is required to maintain a positive, professional and cooperative relationship with all departments within the company as well as with all ICs customers, distributors and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support region commercial teams with Request for Quote (RFQ) and technical support process
• Review customer specifications, recommend appropriate products for application, and develop technical quotes for commercial (inside & outside sales teams)
• Update and verify accurate system entries between Oracle, Salesforce, RFQ for accurate order processing.
• Build and maintain relationships with the regional sales managers and channel
• Maintain a high level of service as customer base increases
• Contact customers regarding coordination of shipments, installation dates, and other end of sales cycle activities.
• Enter system orders and quotes from customers
• Work as a team to support each other as needed

Qualifications:

• Education: Technical or Associate’s degree/certification in Electrical, Engineering, Electro-Mechanical or other related technical field, plus 3 year of experience in a technical sales role or similar supportive sales and quoting role.
• OR High School diploma or GED equivalent plus 5 years of experience in a technical sales role or similar supportive sales and quoting role.
• Skills and Experience:
  • Daily use of Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using an ERP (preferably Oracle) to gather information necessary for quoting and making updates/changes where needed.
  • Experience using CRM software (Salesforce and Zendesk are preferred) in quoting and other customer interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail and be able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape of the carwash market and ability to position different solutions (preferred)
  • Familiar with at least one of the leading CAD software, such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Pro/E, UG, Catia, Solid Works (preferred)
