Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to expand sales of Native Microbials’ dairy product portfolio to key stakeholders, including consulting nutritionists and dairy producers.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the dairy industry, including dairy nutritionists, herd management consultants, and dairy producers.
  3. Develop strategies to promote the adoption of precision microbial solutions, ensuring integration into dairy nutrition programs.
  4. Work collaboratively with customers to implement Native Microbials’ innovations, utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance dairy performance and efficiency.
  5. Focus on dairy farms with 5,000+ cows, with key accounts across California, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Key Duties & Accountabilities

  1. Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve growth targets in the Pacific Northwest region.
  2. Proactively engage with decision-makers and influencers to drive adoption of Native Microbials’ solutions in large-scale dairy operations.
  3. Expand the sales of the Native Microbials product portfolio, including next-generation microbial solutions designed to optimize animal health and performance.
  4. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to strengthen Native Microbials’ presence in the dairy sector.
  5. Prepare detailed reports on market insights, competitive intelligence, and sales activities to keep internal teams informed.
  6. Utilize CRM software to track customer engagement and business development efforts.

Working Relationships

Reports to: VP of Sales

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

  1. Master’s degree in animal science, Dairy Science, Ruminant Nutrition, or a related field.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of dairy nutrition, including experience with CNCPS and/or NRC models for ruminants.
  3. Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Experience in technical sales or business development within the animal nutrition industry.
  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  7. Practical knowledge of dairy production systems and farm management.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.

Preferred:

  1. Ph.D. in Dairy Nutrition or related discipline.
  2. Experience with precision microbial solutions or innovative feed additives for dairy cattle.

Additional Details

  1. Remote position – based anywhere in the USA.
  2. Travel requirement: Approximately 50-60%.
  3. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Passport.
