Job description

We do all this while working 100% remotely and enjoying every other Friday off.

We're seeking a software engineer or cloud account manager aiming to transition into a Technical Sales Representative role. The ideal candidate loves helping businesses succeed by advising on technical solutions and enjoys diagnosing cloud architecture challenges. Your engineering and/or cloud account management experience is more important than your sales record: the former provides the necessary knowledge, and the latter can be earned along the way.

As an inaugural AWS Generative AI Partner, we offer a unique platform to leverage your expertise and contribute to innovative projects. A strong drive to close deals and a competitive spirit are essential, but thriving in a team-driven environment is equally important.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, meetings, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and account management).
  2. Build, nurture, and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners, including in-person meetings, lunches, and conferences.
  3. Support the Sales team in solving software challenges and closing deals.
  4. Own technical conversations with clients independently.
  5. Understand clients' business environments and communicate Loka's value proposition clearly. A deep understanding of how software products are built is crucial.
  6. Maintain current knowledge of sales performance, software industry, and products.
  7. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  8. Organize, update, and maintain sales records and data dashboards.
  9. Support stakeholders with data and asset resources.
  10. Manage projects for various sales initiatives.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

  • 7-13 years in a technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Engineer, or Product Manager.
  • Solid understanding of data infrastructure, machine learning, and/or cloud architectures.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and understanding of core AWS services.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the month to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Native English fluency and US-based location.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card).

STRONGLY PREFERRED

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with quick learning aptitude.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing environments.
  • Attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Availability during US working hours, with heavier emphasis on morning meetings for San Francisco-based candidates.
