Mitchells Equipment North America is a fast-growing provider of advancedmaterial handling and processing solutions for the oilseed industry. We specialize in engineered conveyor systems and integrated equipment used in seed preparation, extraction, and processing facilities across North America.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with hands-on experience in oilseed processing and bulk material conveying systems . This role will focus on developing customer relationships, scoping technical solutions, and driving project sales from initial inquiry through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities within the oilseed and processing industry.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to clients, understanding plant design requirements and offering customized conveying solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and layout recommendations based on site specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and presentations to support sales and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records and prepare accurate forecasts and reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related technical field – or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in oilseed processing (soybean, canola, sunflower, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of conveyor systems , including belt conveyors, chain conveyors, bucket elevators, and related components.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable with moderate travel for customer site visits (approx. 25–50%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with equipment used in seed cleaning, drying, or solvent extraction.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Prior experience with capital project sales or EPC contracts.
