Technical Building Automation Sales Engineer

Houston, TX or Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Remote / Field-Based)

We’re hiring a senior, hands‑on Building Automation professional to help launch and grow our presence in the Houston or DFW market. This is not an entry‑level role and not a pure sales job.

We’re looking for someone who knows commercial BAS inside and out and can use that technical credibility to support customers, troubleshoot systems, and drive new business when opportunities arise.

There’s no local office yet—you’ll be the technical face of the company in the region and play a key role in building something from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, program, and service commercial building automation systems
• Troubleshoot devices, wiring, communications, and control logic
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
• Support projects from startup through closeout (P2P checkout, basic functional testing)
• Provide on‑site technical support and customer guidance
• Identify service, retrofit, and expansion opportunities
• Support technical pre‑sales and customer‑facing discussions
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior technicians

Who We’re Looking For

• Experienced BAS Technician / Programmer / Service Engineer / Controls Engineer
• Strong background in commercial building automation
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Confident communicating with customers and decision‑makers
• Interested in blending technical execution with sales and relationship‑building

Bonus Experience

• Niagara (Tridium), Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider, Distech, ALC, or similar
• Service, retrofit, or modernization project experience
• Experience supporting healthcare, higher ed, office, or industrial facilities
