Job summary

Taymer International Incorporated is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support our camera inspection and printing solutions. This role involves traveling to customer sites and resolving electro-mechanical issues on the fly.

You will commission systems, train customers, and collaborate with Engineering on custom PLC/SCADA/HMI/ VFD solutions, with travel across North America and potential international trips.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree related to engineering (or relevant experience).
• 2 years experience servicing and maintaining industrial machinery is expected.
• Experience with vision systems, lighting and optics is an asset.
• Experience in international business is an asset.
• Experience in wire and cable industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Commission and integrate computer vision systems and related printers into manufacturing lines across North America and internationally.
• Provide customer training, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and both remote and onsite services.
• Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and implement PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFD features.
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships and represent Taymer at trade expositions.
• Work with Engineering in assembly, fabrication, and servicing of Taymer machinery.
• Travel frequently to customer sites in the US, with international travel as an option.

Position Summary

As Taymer continues to expand, we offer an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. This role involves traveling to customer sites and resolving electro-mechanical issues on the fly. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to our new product developments.

A successful applicant will be a self starter, responsible, and organized with detailed written notes and time management. We seek an excellent communicator who is comfortable working remotely and travelling to customer locations—previous experience and confidence in devising troubleshooting plans & commissioning solutions when faced with electro-mechanical issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide customer support through training, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and both remote and onsite services
• Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and implement custom features for PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and VFDs
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, demonstrate equipment, and represent Taymer at trade expositions
• Work closely with Engineering in assembly, fabrication, and servicing of Taymer machinery
• Frequent travel to customer sites within the US, with international travel as an option
