We are seeking a Technical Sales Coordinator (TSC) to develop and manage solar project proposals with commercial clients. The TSC will handle project design presentations, cash flow projections, financing options, and project feasibility, ensuring smooth communication with customers and project execution. The role involves selling cash, financing, and PPA/lease solar transactions. The TSC must be a team player and collaborate across departments to meet revenue goals.

Salary

The base salary is $50,000 USD, with sales commissions ranging from 1% to 4% of gross project amounts, depending on bid competitiveness. Additional quarterly and annual bonuses are available based on individual and company performance, subject to review and adjustment by Harvest Solar.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Develop strategic plans, maintain a sales pipeline, and engage with prospects and leads.
  2. Generate leads through marketing, networking, and independent efforts.
  3. Conduct financial analyses to demonstrate solar energy value.
  4. Sell cash and PPA deals.
  5. Read basic electrical single line diagrams and identify equipment.
  6. Familiarity with three-phase power, large electrical services, and medium voltage systems is a plus.
  7. Understand utility rate structures and ROI factors.
  8. Knowledge of solar + storage systems is advantageous; willingness to learn required.
  9. Present financial and environmental benefits of solar energy.
  10. Manage customer relationships and CRM documentation diligently.
  11. Ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals.
  12. Stay informed on rebates and incentives at all levels.
  13. Attend industry events and stay active in the solar community.
  14. Be flexible to work outside normal hours as needed.
  15. Represent Harvest Solar positively in all interactions.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational and Certification Requirements

  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in power systems.
  • Preferably 2+ years in commercial solar sales.
  • Knowledge of solar energy and industry experience is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Up to 80% day travel and 10% overnight travel, with expenses covered.
  • 10% of work in a commercial construction setting, outdoors and on job sites.
  • 10% in a busy office environment with standard equipment.
