TJ Consulting Group seeks a Technical Requirements Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph for a hybrid role in Annapolis Junction, MD. The engineer will help plan, design, and implement mission-critical systems, coordinating with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure sprint execution.

Experience with Java/JavaScript, RESTful microservices, AWS, and Agile practices is required; strong liaison skills between customers and developers are

Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development using Java or JavaScript frameworks, RESTful microservices, and Cloud-based architecture and deployment (AWS).
• Proven experience in eliciting and documenting functional and technical requirements.
• Acting as an expert liaison between customers and the development team, including managing expectations.
• Understanding and articulating complex technical details to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

An active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required.

This job is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD with 1 remote day each week.

We have an immediate need for a Technical Requirements Systems Engineer to support and assist with overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system. Candidates should be passionate about collaboratively solving challenging problems and have a track record of delivering high-quality solutions. Candidates will work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to perform workflow/business process engineering, functional requirements gathering, and technical requirements definition. Candidates will work closely with the Task Lead, Scrum Master, System Engineers, and Developers to facilitate sprint execution, functional testing, and sprint reviews/demos.

Required Experience

• Familiarity with software development using Java or JavaScript frameworks, RESTful microservices, and Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
• Proven experience in working collaboratively to elicit and document functional and technical requirements
• Acting as an expert liaison between customers and the development team, to include managing customer expectations
• Comprehending and articulating intricate technical details to various audiences
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

Desired Experience

• Coordinating the design and development of AI-driven solutions from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with the existing software architecture
• Serving as a key technical liaison, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, software developers, and domain experts. Effectively present and articulate recommended AI approaches, discussing the tradeoffs and implications of different implementations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Staying current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, continuously seeking opportunities to apply new technologies and methodologies to improve existing systems and solve complex problems
