Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support product regulatory programs and ensure compliance for electronics components and kits. You will collect, assess, and manage information for certification, while identifying process improvements and ensuring alignment with applicable directives.

Collaborating with product groups, design control, and operations, you’ll help ensure development, validation, and production meet regulatory requirements onsite at Mossville, IL.

Supports product regulatory compliance programs through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable product regulatory requirements for intended markets.

What You Will Do:

• Understand and stay current on product regulatory requirements and understand application of same to Caterpillar products.
• Follow and utilize established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information in support of product certification and compliance.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.
• Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.

What You Will Have:

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

Product Development Best Practices: Knowledge of product development methods and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development.

Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Top Candidates Will Have:

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills that will be utilized in leadership, planning, execution, and facilitation of compliance projects, meeting series, and investigations between component design engineering and regional product compliance experts to maintain market access for electronics components & kits in a changing regulatory environment.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical information effectively across teams.
• Experience with electronic components and/or machine/engine electronic systems.
• Experience with electronic component regulations, e.g. EU EMC Directive, EU Radio Equipment Directive, EU CRA, EU Battery, etc.
• Bachelor's Degree

• Location is onsite in Mossville, IL five days per week
• Relocation assistance may be available in accordance with Caterpillar policies.

Travel is 10%

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
