Job summary

Skydio in San Mateo, CA is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to drive end-to-end hiring for core engineering functions including Software, Hardware, and Hardware Operations. You will work closely with hiring leaders to build pipelines and craft compelling candidate experiences.

This hybrid, three-days-per-week on-site role offers base compensation in the range of $120,000 to $160,000 plus equity and benefits, with relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience recruiting technical talent in software, autonomy, hardware, or hardware operations.
• Ability to advise hiring leaders using recruiting data and market insights to support effective hiring decisions.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities while balancing hiring speed, candidate quality, and business needs.
• Thoughtful communicator with strong business judgment and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Relentlessly seek top talent, curate high-quality pipelines, craft compelling candidate experiences, and secure exceptional hires across niche and highly competitive skill sets.
• Partner closely with hiring leaders and interview teams to understand hiring needs, provide recruiting guidance, and help shape effective sourcing and hiring strategies.
• Collaborate with People Operations, Compensation, and Finance to support headcount planning and improve hiring processes.
• Champion structured hiring practices, ensuring we maintain rigor and fairness in every decision.
• Contribute to a strong recruiting culture by identifying process improvements, helping resolve hiring bottlenecks, and sharing knowledge and best practices with fellow recruiters.
• Pitch in wherever necessary as a core member of a lean, mean startup recruiting machine
