Job summary

GITAI in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on Technical Recruiter to source Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for our space robotics team. You will own outbound outreach, build pipelines, and move candidates quickly in collaboration with engineering leaders.

This 6-month onsite role offers a path to full-time, with a focus on rapid hiring in a VC-backed startup environment and a compensation range of $50–$87 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field required, technical background preferred.
• At least 1 year in a VC-backed startup (Series B or earlier) or equivalent fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to identify and engage passive technical candidates via direct outreach.
• Experience working with technical hiring managers and engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing and outreach for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering roles.
• Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, and universities.
• Review applications and conduct initial recruiter screens.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand technical needs and candidate profiles.
• Challenge hiring assumptions when needed and push back based on market reality.
• Maintain communication and move candidates through the interview process.
