Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring within a focused area of our engineering and research organization. You will partner directly with the founders and engineering leaders to hire researchers, systems engineers, or infrastructure experts who power Fireworks’ platform.

You move fast, value data, enjoy 0-1 builds, maintain a high bar, and treat every candidate interaction as a reflection of the Fireworks brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
• Proven track record closing senior and hard-to-fill engineering or research roles.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to discuss engineering roles and tech stacks.
• Fluency with modern AI-powered sourcing/screening tools; comfortable with Ashby.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; candidate experience focused.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, and close for technical roles within your focus area.
• Partner with hiring managers and founders to scope roles, define calibrated hiring bars, and build pragmatic hiring strategies.
• Build and nurture pipelines of top technical talent through proactive outreach and referrals.
• Run structured, bias-aware screens that assess technical depth and mission fit.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience end to end, as an ambassador for Fireworks.
• Drive offers and closes using market data to guide candidates to yes.
• Keep the ATS clean and report on funnel health to improve the process.
• Leverage AI tools to boost sourcing and screening efficiency without sacrificing personal touch.

The Role

We're looking for Technical Recruiters to own full-cycle hiring within a focused area of our engineering and research org. Each recruiter goes deep on a single domain. You'll partner directly with the founders and engineering leaders in your area to hire the researchers, systems engineers, or infrastructure experts who make Fireworks run. This is a high-ownership role at a company where great hiring is a direct competitive advantage, the talent you bring in will shape the product and the company.

What You'll Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, and close for technical roles within your focus area.
• Partner with the hiring managers and founders in your domain to scope roles, define calibrated hiring bars, and build pragmatic hiring strategies for a fast-moving org.
• Build and nurture pipelines of top technical talent through proactive outreach and referrals with high-touch, personalized engagement.
• Run structured, bias-aware screens that accurately assess technical depth and mission fit.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience end to end, acting as an ambassador for the Fireworks mission and culture.
• Drive offers and closes, using market and compensation data to guide candidates to yes.
• Keep our ATS clean and use pipeline data to report on funnel health and continuously improve the process.
• Leverage AI tooling to boost sourcing and screening efficiency without sacrificing the personal touch.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or in AI/ML, infrastructure, or deep-tech.
• A track record of closing senior and hard-to-fill engineering or research roles in a competitive market.
• Strong technical fluency, you understand engineering roles, tech stacks, and can hold credible conversations with technical candidates and hiring managers.
• Fluency with modern AI-powered sourcing/screening tools; comfortable with Ashby.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, and genuine care for candidate experience.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-changing, high-bar environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the open-source AI ecosystem (PyTorch, model serving, inference).
• Experience building recruiting processes or employer-brand programs from an early stage.
