You’ll lead full-cycle recruiting for Engineering, Product, Data, Analytics, and other functions, partnering with hiring managers to craft search strategies and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.

The Purpose

We're looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our People team. This is a contract position with an opportunity to convert to a Slickdeals full-time employee.

This is a hands‑on, full-cycle recruiting role with a strong focus on hiring technical talent across areas such as Engineering, Product, Data, and Analytics. As part of a lean Talent Acquisition team, you'll also have the opportunity to recruit for roles across the broader organization, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, People, and other functions as hiring needs evolve.

You'll work closely with our Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Coordinator, allowing you to focus on what great recruiters do best: building strong partnerships with hiring teams, developing thoughtful search strategies, identifying exceptional talent, and creating an excellent candidate experience.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting from kickoff through offer, with a primary focus on technical roles.
• Support recruiting across additional business functions as hiring needs evolve.
• Lead intake meetings to understand business needs, candidate profiles, timelines, and interview strategies.
• Develop sourcing strategies and proactively identify passive talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, and other channels.
• Conduct recruiter screens and guide candidates through the interview and offer process.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers and act as a recruiting advisor throughout each search.
• Proactively communicate pipeline progress, challenges, market insights, and recommended next steps.
• Follow up on interviews, feedback, and decisions to maintain momentum throughout the hiring process.
• Partner with our Recruitment Coordinator on interview scheduling and candidate logistics.
• Maintain accurate recruiting data and candidate information within our ATS.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, recruiting processes, and candidate experience.
• Deliver a thoughtful, timely, and high-touch experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Support broader Talent Acquisition goals, projects, and process improvements as needed, contributing to initiatives that strengthen how we attract, assess, and hire talent.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including meaningful experience recruiting technical talent.
• Demonstrated success recruiting roles across areas such as Software Engineering, Product, Data, Analytics, or similar technical disciplines.
• Strong passive sourcing skills and experience engaging talent in competitive markets.
• Experience recruiting across additional business functions is a plus.
• Strong hiring-manager partnership skills, including the ability to set expectations, provide recommendations, and respectfully push back when needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of proactive follow-through.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders and C-suite executives.
• Strong organization and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities.
• A high level of ownership and the ability to identify what needs to happen next without waiting for direction.
• A track record of providing an excellent candidate experience.
• Experience using an ATS, ideally Greenhouse, and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving Talent Acquisition environment where priorities may shift as business needs evolve.

You take ownership of your searches and keep both candidates and hiring managers informed without needing to be prompted.

When a search slows down, you identify why and recommend a path forward. When the market doesn't align with the original candidate profile, you bring insights and solutions. You enjoy the challenge of finding hard-to-reach technical talent, but you're also adaptable enough to recruit outside of technical functions when the business needs it.

Most importantly, you see recruiting as a partnership, not an order‑taking function. You're a collaborative team player who is approachable, dependable, and enjoyable to work with. You build positive relationships, support your teammates, and contribute to a respectful, solutions-oriented team environment.

LOCATION: San Mateo, CA

Hybrid schedule visiting our San Mateo office three days a week (Tues-Thurs).

Compensation, Benefits, Perks

The expected base pay for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Exact compensation will be discussed during the interview process and tailored to the candidate's qualifications.
