Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services, Inc. is partnering with our client to fill a Technical QA/BSA position in Buffalo. This is a hybrid 9+ months contract. The role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services with no C2C arrangements. You will lead end-to-end testing, drive automation, and work across REST/JSON API modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years combined BA/QA experience.

• Strong SQL for data validation.
• Experience with .NET applications.
• Mainframe knowledge: ACAPS/JCL/CICS/VSAM.

Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Technical QA/BSA position! This is a 9+ months contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead end-to-end functional system integration testing and drive test automation initiatives for consumer lending applications Facilitate complex platform modernization projects transitioning from REST-based XML APIs to JSON-based APIs Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases while reducing regression effort and improving release quality Partner with development team to identify testing bottlenecks and implement automation using Postman and Zephyr frameworks Serve as subject matter expert for consumer loan origination systems including underwriting, decisioning, and booking workflows Conduct data mapping and integration analysis for mainframe ACAPS and .NET application systems Collaborate with business stakeholders to document functional specifications and validate business requirements Mentor team members on application training, research analysis, and testing methodology best practices Drive shift-left quality mindset by incorporating continuous testing and early defect detection throughout the development lifecycle Coordinate post-implementation activities including feedback collection, issue resolution, and project debriefs

What You'll Need to Have:

6+ years of combined experience in business analysis and quality assurance with proven hybrid BA/QA expertise Strong consumer lending domain knowledge including loan origination, underwriting processes, and credit bureau processing Demonstrated experience with test automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD pipeline validation Proficiency with Postman for API automation and experience with Zephyr or similar test management tools Solid understanding of mainframe technologies including ACAPS, JCL, CICS, and VSAM systems Experience with .NET applications and SQL for data validation and analysis Proven ability to perform data mapping, interface analysis, and root cause analysis across integrated systems Strong track record of improving test coverage through automation and implementing reusable test cases Pay Range: $50-58+/hr
