Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a New Product Transition PM in Austin, TX to lead the transition and release of new products into manufacturing. You will coordinate planning, tracking, and cross‑functional collaboration across manufacturing and engineering teams.

This role emphasizes project planning, cost performance monitoring, and delivering on time within budget. Experience in semiconductor product development and commercialization is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing product development is preferred.
  • Experience in product commercialization, hardware development and supply chain is a plus.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Will prepare project plan and coordinates the attainment of project deliverables from planning to implementation.
  • Will drive project deliverables and task details through the use of reports, tracking charts and checklists.
  • Aligns the activities of resources internal to the business unit to achieve on‑time and within budget performance objectives for the project.
  • Monitors and reports to the business unit on project's cost performance.
  • Will participate on intra business unit design teams to complete projects. Will contribute to the team's technical development in the pursuit of the team's project goals.
  • Will research causes to project obstacles and assist in implementing solutions for resolution.

Key Responsibilities

This posting is for a New Product Transition PM. This person represents all of manufacturing in the product commercialization core team, and is responsible for the transition and release of new products into manufacturing.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
