Mondo in New York, NY seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end technology and application development projects in a financial services environment. You will partner with engineering, data, business, and senior stakeholders to build project plans, manage execution, and deliver complex initiatives.

The role requires strong Jira expertise, 3–10 years of related experience, and a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Immediate start.

Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager

Location-Type: Hybrid – New York, NY (3 days onsite / 2 days remote, subject to change)

Pay Rate: $60-80/hr W2 (based on experience)

Job Description

Lead end-to-end technology and application development projects within a financial services environment, partnering with engineering, data, business, and senior stakeholders to build project plans, manage execution, and deliver complex technology initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build detailed project plans from scratch and manage end-to-end project execution.
• Provide 60–70% oversight of project planning, tracking, execution, and delivery.
• Lead technology, data, and application development projects.
• Translate business objectives into requirements, roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate engineering, data, operations, finance, and third-party teams.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and timelines.
• Use Jira for project tracking, backlog management, sprint planning, and status reporting.
• Partner with technical teams on APIs, integrations, data architecture, and solution design.
• Support Agile delivery, SDLC governance, testing, release planning, and production readiness.
• Create project documentation including business requirements, process flows, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Track project success metrics, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Identify process gaps and automation opportunities and drive solutions through implementation.
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–10 years of technical project management, program management, product management, or senior business analysis experience.
• Experience working for a financial services/fintech organization or technology company .
• Proven experience managing application development projects .
• Strong Jira experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build project plans from scratch .
• Strong PMO/project governance experience.
• Experience overseeing approximately 60–70% of project planning, execution, and delivery activities.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and software development processes.
• Experience partnering with engineering and data teams on technical requirements, APIs, integrations, and solution design.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Private credit, structured credit, or insurance experience.
• Private equity or investment management experience.
• Experience with portfolio monitoring, risk management, or investment-related technology.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Sigma or similar analytics/reporting platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms, microservices, data pipelines, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with CRM, portfolio monitoring, data warehouse, or low-code platforms.
• Experience with change management, training, and process improvement.
