Actalent is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead the development of advanced aircraft from concept through production launch in White Salmon, WA. You will own integrated schedules, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, testing, and certification to keep programs on track.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will drive critical path activities, deliverables such as BOMs and drawings, and provide executive-level status updates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined engineering and technical project management experience.
• 5+ years leading hardware product development through design, prototyping, testing, and production launch.
• Strong project scheduling skills using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• Experience managing complex engineering programs with risk, dependencies, resources, cost and schedule.
• Background in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or similar hardware environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and driving projects to completion.
• Familiarity with configuration control and change management.

Essential Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience with VTOL, UAV/UAS, aerospace systems, or other advanced electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of PDM/ERP systems and configuration management processes.
• Exposure to DO-178 or aerospace certification environments.
• Strong communication and executive-level project reporting skills.

Work Environment

This position is based 100% onsite in the Columbia Gorge with the potential to transition into a hybrid arrangement after approximately 2–3 months, depending on performance and business needs. You will work in an engineering-focused environment developing advanced aircraft systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams spanning design, manufacturing, and testing. The role relies heavily on digital project management tools such as Microsoft Project and PDM/ERP systems, as well as standard engineering and configuration management tools. The work setting emphasizes structured project execution, disciplined engineering processes, and close coordination between technical and operational teams to support the full product lifecycle from concept through production.

We're ideally seeking local or regional talent to the PNW. Non-regional talent must be ready and willing to relocate and possess obvious resume alignment to critical qualifications.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $143000.00 - $229000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
