Job summary

Alpha Omega is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to govern IT projects from initiation to close. Hybrid role based in Washington, DC, with US Citizenship and a Public Trust clearance requirement.

You will lead planning, metrics, and stakeholder communications while ensuring high-quality IT delivery for federal clients. Responsibilities include producing weekly status reports, defining requirements, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Ten years of IT modernization, technology refresh, or cloud projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to customers, engineers, and leadership.
  • Ability to comply with standards governing Change Management, Risk Management, and Cybersecurity.
  • Experience creating communications, dashboards, information radiators, presentations, reports, and other supporting documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing enterprise IT projects, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring to drive large projects to completion.
  • Knowledge of current industry best practices for managing projects.
  • Experience with requirements elicitation.
  • Experience with assessing project deliverables for satisfaction of requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and any of the following: Microsoft Planner, ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or Kanban Boards.

  • Define requirements, capture technical work, monitor progress, and record lessons learned.
  • Manage IT projects through the full lifecycle.
  • Prepare project documents and artifacts.
  • Conform to existing frameworks, policies, practices, and standards governing technology.
  • Provide advisory assessments highlighting solutions to problems encountered.
  • Facilitate implementation of emerging technology projects and lead data gathering efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project and stakeholder meetings including follow-up on action items.
  • Work with technical staff to collect and analyze project data and translate it into documentation and briefings.

  • Deliver a weekly status report listing current and planned activities, as well as monthly reporting on hours spent on the contract, hours remaining on the contract, and other requested financial contractual details.
  • Define requirements, capture technical work to be performed, monitor progress towards completion of the project objectives, and record lessons learned/retrospective information.
  • Manage IT projects through the full lifecycle.
  • Prepare project documents and artifacts.
  • Conform to existing frameworks, policies, practices, and standards governing technology.
  • Provide actionable advisory assessments highlighting solutions to problems encountered.
  • Facilitate implementation of emerging technology projects and lead data gathering efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project and stakeholder meetings including follow up on action items to drive completion.
  • Work with technical staff and leaders to collect and analyze project data and translate it into project documentation and stakeholder briefings.
Experience/Skills
Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Project and any of the following: Microsoft Planner, ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or Kanban Boards.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science.
Salary And Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $160,000 - $170,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
