Job summary

Stadler is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the system integration of complex projects from planning to delivery. You will bridge technical teams with business stakeholders to ensure on-time, compliant, high-quality results aligned with strategic goals.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical engineering background, 5+ years in related fields, and strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) or equivalent training.
  • PMP preferred (certification).
  • Training in business administration preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in rail vehicle, defense, aerospace, automotive or equivalent.
  • Experience leading challenging projects in an international environment.
  • Team player with excellent social skills, sense of responsibility and assertiveness.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
  • Structured, goal-oriented, dynamic and loyal personality.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Business fluent in English (required) and German (preferred at least B1 level).

Responsibilities

  • On-time execution, planning and management of all internal engineering activities of our international projects.
  • Implement Customer requirements specification in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare technical specifications, production documents, test plans, type tests, and documentation & training materials.
  • Manage the project team including Project Managers, Engineers and Lead Project Engineers.
  • Lead customer support and coordinate with the Commercial Project Manager.

Key Activities
  • On time execution, planning and management of all internal engineering activities of our challenging international projects
  • Implementation of the Customer requirements specification in compliance with industry standards, regulations and national requirements
  • Responsible for the conceptualization as well as preparation of technical specifications, production documents, test plans, type tests and documentation & training documents.
  • Management of the project team, which consists of Project Managers Engineering and Lead Project Engineers for various disciplines.
  • Lead in Customer support and communication in close collaboration with the Commercial Project Manager
