Representing Manufacturing/Operations as a core team member on new product core teams, this individual will ensure all stakeholders within the operations functions, and within the project team, are properly represented. This requires that all product infrastructure and processes are defined, documented, verified, and managed while reducing manufacturing and operations risk at each phase of the transfer process.

  • Prepare presentations and conduct reviews for Manufacturing/Operations readiness.
  • Prepare written work instructions and manufacturing product documentation based on drafts from R&D, Manufacturing or other sources.
  • Implement developmental outputs into product infrastructure, SKU creation, manufacturing process, documentation and procedures.

  • Provide project and program leadership by effectively influencing without direct authority
  • Work hand-in-hand with other areas of the business to identify actions proactively rather than reactively
  • Make certain that all members of the NPI Core and Extended teams are effectively working from the same goals/forecast and are aligned
Key Challenges
  • Leading and managing without direct authority
  • Understanding and adapting to strategic plans while operating tactically to achieve project plans and deliverables
  • Building relationships between departments and individuals with multiple goals and priorities
  • Motivating people to be responsible and accountable for something that may not be their top priority
  • Finding proactive ways to identify and mitigate project risks and gaps in a constantly changing environment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or related field with 5+ years post undergraduate experience.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Requires the ability to influence upwards and across functions and businesses
