Job summary

ValueMomentum, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong development background in Java to lead software projects for enterprise applications.

The role requires coordinating Java programmers, guiding teams through design, testing and implementation, and ensuring adherence to SDLC and programming standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for a team of Java programmers responsible for multiple projects.
• Lead and mentor staff at the personnel and technical levels.
• Provide assistance for analysis, design, testing, and implementation of new or existing systems.
• Provide assistance for installation and/or implementation of new or existing purchased systems.
• Create and maintain project plans for multiple projects your team is responsible for.
• Assist in resolving problems with existing systems by analyzing the problem and deciding on a course of action.
• Research and evaluate new software systems.
• Research and evaluate new tools to be used by developers to increase productivity.
• Ensure programming standards and policies are being followed by your team.
• Communicate with users to determine problems or design requirements.
• Create a team environment to complete programming projects in a timely manner.
• Ensure all projects follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Application Development.

Technical Project Manager – Must be from Development background

Experience in programming side – preferably Java or C++/C# or combination

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in managing software development teams that develop enterprise applications in Java
• Experience in programming – preferably Java or C++/C#
• Experience leading staff using an agile methodology
• Knowledge of project management standards and tools
• Experience in project management
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both the business community and the technical community
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail
