Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:

Bamboo is looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) that has experience managing Data Migration projects and acting as a Scrum Master for our Data Warehousing and Analytics teams, along with additional assigned Technical Projects.

This individual will be a key contributor to developing the processes and implementing efficiencies that enable the Data scrum teams to scale quickly while remaining flexible.

This individual must possess a strong understanding of Data Analytics, Database Management, Data Warehousing concepts and how those areas interact with cross functional business and technical teams. The TPM will need to be an expert at communicating these concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple areas of the business in addition to your scrum teams, to prioritize the backlog, set Sprint goals and deliver them on a regular release schedule.

You will act as the facilitator of cross-functional collaboration between the Data teams, technical other technical teams. The right candidate will take ownership of their scrum teams and any assigned projects. You will also play an active role in designing and shaping the TPM and Scrum Master practices at Bamboo as a whole.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Planning and managing a large scale data migration project from one administration system to another
• Collaborating with business and software development teams
• Reporting scrum team development progress to program stakeholders
• Ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget
• Defining and Evaluating performance metrics and facilitating adjustments
• Documenting Processes and Reporting Team Status

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Hyper organized and able to prioritize multiple competing tasks
• Must be able to proactively identify risks that relate to Data Migrations between systems, Data Governance and Data Security
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques. Familiar with data analytics tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a remote team
• Must be extremely comfortable with the Atlassian Ecosystem - Jira, Confluence and Advanced Roadmaps. This is where the TPMs spend much of their time.

Required Education and Experience:

• At least three years Technical Project Management, including experience managing Data Warehouse / Data Analytics teams as a scrum master
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Advanced Knowledge of Data Analytics, Management and Warehousing Principles and technologies

Preferred Experience:

• Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge
• Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementation experience
• Data Migration project management experience
• Technology Solution Project Implementation Experience
• Experience implementing Saas solutions is preferred
• Knowledgeable with SQL or other DB querying languages
• Scrum Master Certification
• PMP Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $135,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
