Job summary

Nokia seeks a talented Technical Project Manager to join our team and support a key Nokia customer in Pittsburgh, PA. You will design and develop network architectures and services, create implementation and migration plans, document configuration equipment and services, and test and support networks across deployment stages.

You will collaborate with internal technical teams to optimize network operations and performance, and to enhance product placement and features for reliability,

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent practical work experience.
  • Experience in MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP and RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS, Nokia Route.
  • Experience in QoS testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
  • Expertise troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring the noted IP networking protocols.
  • A customer mindset and solid written and verbal communication skills to end-clients.
  • Nokia DataCenter experience is strongly preferred.
  • Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, EDA and NSP).

Responsibilities

  • Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
  • Develops / Reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide Design covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
  • Organizes field measurements and laboratory tests.
  • Performs network audits, especially in cases where fault or problems exist.
  • Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Supports experts in developing network configuration file and interface analysis
  • Develop network architecture and services designs with the best architecture available to support our customer's services.

Key Skills And Experience

You Have:
