Job summary

Coates Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive end-to-end engineering projects across internal and client teams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. You will lead integrated roadmaps, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and promote best practices in a client-facing capacity.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, risk management, and clear stakeholder communication, with a focus on scalable delivery and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management with technical or digital projects.
  • Technical background or understanding of software engineering, infrastructure, and deployment practices.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence, plus other Agile project tools.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Ensure end-to-end delivery of technical projects including requirements gathering, milestone planning, technical solutioning, documentation, execution, and final delivery.
  • Client-facing Lead: Serve as the main point of contact for client-facing technical projects, setting expectations around scope and timeline and re-prioritizing as needed.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate across Engineering, Content, Ops/DevOps, Deployment and client teams to coordinate execution.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early, create mitigation strategies, and resolve roadblocks with minimal impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress.
  • Tooling & Reporting: Use Jira, Confluence, and Asana dashboards to provide project visibility.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to drive continuous delivery and scalability.

Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of engineering projects across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining alignment with business objectives. This role focuses primarily on managing integrated roadmaps and project plans, Agile process facilitation, and acting as a client-facing point of contact for the projects they oversee. The individual will also promote Agile best practices within their projects helping to facilitate scrum ceremonies, driving prioritization, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineeringteams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, with technical or digital project experience.
  • Technical background or understanding of software engineering, infrastructure, and software deployment practices.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project tools.
  • Proven ability to manage distributed and cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in QSR, digital signage, or retail technology industries..
  • Familiarity with Content Management platforms.
  • Experience with API-based software integrations.

$110,000 - $125,000 a year

Full Salary Range: $110,000/year (minimum), $117,500/year (midpoint), $125,000/year (maximum).

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market data. Well-qualified candidates can generally expect offers around the midpoint. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications but have more limited directly relevant experience for this specific role are typically placed nearer the minimum, while highly experienced candidates with strong role alignment may be placed closer to the maximum.
