Must have U.S. Citizenship to obtain post-hire Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Clearance from the FBI, and be able to secure clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Justice.

Position Summary

As a member of Project & Services for IBS solutions, the Technical Project Manager will oversee a set of North American customers, including Law Enforcement and Driver’s Licenses/IDs (state and provincial). The role involves managing a range of technologies, from desktop applications with biometric hardware to high-performance server applications, including secure document issuance (PKI, encryption, cryptography) and cloud evolution into AWS.

The Technical Project Manager ensures service quality aligns with contractual, financial, and organizational expectations by hosting support and maintenance meetings with customers, management, and stakeholders. The role includes managing escalations and interfacing internally to address customer requests while adhering to budgets and company policies.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Drive project priorities through coordination and escalation support to ensure timely resolution and high customer satisfaction.
  2. Build relationships with key customer staff as the Single Point of Contact and advocate.
  3. Oversee the lifecycle of complex hardware/software solutions, including bug resolution and change management, while mitigating risks.
  4. Manage contract performance and compliance, including SLAs, KPIs, and requirements documentation.
  5. Monitor and control project financials, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  6. Coordinate with internal technical teams to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or equivalent experience with 6 years of related work plus 8+ years in service delivery/support.
  2. Experience managing customer expectations, escalations, contracts, SLAs, and cost management.
  3. Technical expertise in IT service delivery, hardware/software/systems engineering.
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable with leadership audiences.
  5. Ability to learn new customer environments quickly.
  6. Project management experience, including financial data analysis and program driving.
  7. Experience mentoring, team-building, and leading cross-functional teams remotely and onsite.
  8. Ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.

Special Position Requirements

20% travel, including support to customers and quarterly travel to Austin. Flexibility for extended hours and occasional lifting of hardware up to 30 pounds.

The Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position is $118,675 - $200,613 USD annually, including base salary and variable compensation, dependent on experience and other factors.
