You will support the conceptual and technical integrity of Epics, Features, and components within the team's scope of work.

Success in this position requires the ability to build and sustain working relationships - both within the Agile team and externally - including with Product Management, CMS customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders. You will support the bridge between the development team and the broader program, helping to translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable work items under the guidance of senior technical and project leadership.

You will work within a highly structured, rigorous development environment operating under the SAFe Agile/Scrum framework, supporting quarterly release cycles that are central to the DME program\'s delivery model.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares for and participates in Quarterly (PI) Planning, supporting alignment of team objectives with program priorities and CMS requirements.
  • Assists with reviewing and reprioritizing the backlog as part of Sprint Planning preparation, incorporating changing requirements, stakeholder input, and program direction.
  • Supports Behavior-Driven Development by collaborating with the team to help detail Stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Assists with accepting completed Stories by working with the team to validate that acceptance criteria are met and that user value has been delivered.
  • Develops understanding of enabler work by collaborating with System Architects, SMEs, and other stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
  • Participates in all Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Demonstrations, and Retrospectives.
  • Engages with CMS customers and end-users to help understand and anticipate their needs, supporting communication of those needs to the Scrum team.
  • Works alongside the Release Manager and senior technical staff to contribute to project strategy and delivery decisions.
  • Assists with the creation and ongoing refinement of the project roadmap.
  • Supports management of cross-team dependencies, assisting with negotiation and reprioritization as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with client Product Owners and Technical Leads to help evaluate whether work adds sufficient value and supports team progress.
  • Supports communication between Agile/project teams and key stakeholders by building and maintaining working relationships.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Release Managers, and Program Managers, to support consistent project goals and vision.
  • Monitors and helps evaluate project progress at each stage of the development process, supporting status communication to stakeholders and customers.
  • Assists with designing, implementing, and performing user acceptance testing on new programs, services, and enhancements.
  • Works with the Scrum Master to help identify and elevate impediments to achieving sprint and release goals.
  • Supports liaison activities between the project team, CMS customers, and stakeholders to help deliver timely information and updates.
