Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience managing technical programs, engineering projects, or large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience using PM tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar software.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and decision-making skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with collaboration across engineering, operations, and executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and devise solutions.
  • Experience developing schedules, budgets, resource plans, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to manage scope, timelines, and deliverables aligned with customer and mission objectives.
  • Familiarity with defense, aerospace, government contracting, or systems engineering environments is preferred.
  • PM certifications like PMP or CSM are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment with shifting priorities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (or active clearance preferred).

The role will have a critical part to play in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and is in line with mission objectives. This role is ideal for applicants who possess excellent strategic leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. At Summit Technologies & Solutions, Technical Program and Projects Managers must manage collaboration across multiple departments. As defense programs continue to modernize, the demand for Technical Program and Projects Managers will grow. At Summit, you will help lead impactful projects that help lead innovation in the defense sector.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with defense, aerospace, government contracting, or systems engineering environments is preferred.
  • Project management certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (or an active clearance is preferred).
