Job Overview

As a Software Technical Program Manager at Meta Reality Labs, you will lead a cross-functional team through the entire Software Development Process—from early concept to launch—to develop industry-leading developer experiences for Meta Quest VR/MR Products. This highly visible role requires an experienced leader with strong technical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities at all levels of the company. We seek technical program managers who are passionate about their work, capable motivators, relationship builders, and champions of efficient processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop software roadmaps aligned with product requirements and business needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from development to launch, including managing launch activities for software features.
  • Engage with teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Set milestones, communicate project statuses, and address potential setbacks.
  • Establish best practices and adapt product development processes in a dynamic environment.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables such as specifications and test plans.
  • Collaborate with user research and dogfooding teams, integrating user feedback to enhance user experience.
  • Provide feedback to influence product design and UX.
  • Maintain complete, current project documentation for staff and leadership review.
  • Identify resource needs and work with team leads to ensure resource availability and project visibility.
  • Travel up to 15% as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years managing software programs from inception to production as a Technical Program Manager or Software Product Manager.
  • Experience launching consumer products or managing large software releases.
  • Proven ability to develop software roadmaps for complex consumer products.
  • Familiarity with program and issue tracking tools and dashboards.
  • Strong skills in building relationships and collaborating across teams.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering developer-focused experiences.
  • Familiarity with Virtual or Mixed Reality input and interaction modalities.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $134,000 - $196,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location. Additional benefits are offered. Learn more about benefits at Meta.
