Morgan Stanley in New York seeks a Principal Software Engineer (VP level) to lead end‑to‑end technology delivery for the Wealth Management Monitoring Technology (WMMT) team within NFRT. You will oversee multi‑discipline squads and coordinate risk and compliance objectives with business partners.
You will collaborate with WM Risk, WM Compliance, product, and engineering to design roadmaps, supervise controls, and deliver high‑quality solutions while guiding discovery, planning, and execution

This role is part of the Wealth Management Monitoring Technology (WMMT) Department within Non-Financial Risk Technology (NFRT). WMMT provides solutions to monitor customer suitability, FA sales practice, Digital Direct channel activity and Conduct Risk for the Firm's Wealth Management business. Non-Financial Risk Technology provides operational controls, support for sustainable investing, business continuity planning, and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm's resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $155,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
