Zoox is seeking a Technical Program Manager for System Behavior Analysis to own triage across fleet and large-scale simulation, turning event data into engineering signal.

You will partner with software development, QA, safety, product, vehicle operations and the PMO to drive triage and tooling initiatives, manage intake and capacity, and plan quarterly commitments.

About The Role

Technical Program Manager For System Behavior Analysis

Zoox is building a full-stack autonomous mobility solution from the ground up. The System Behavior Analysis team is the front line for triage of driving events and software issues from our vehicle fleet and large-scale simulation, turning that data into engineering signal.

As the Technical Program Manager for System Behavior Analysis, you will sit in our Platform SW Integration organization and treat triage as a systems and data problem. Triage sits in the middle of a larger loop, from the fleet and simulation through engineering fixes to validation and release. You will partner with software development, software integration, QA, safety, product, vehicle operations and the Program Management Office.

In this role, you will:

• Drive triage accuracy and routing. Run the triage reviews that get defects, high-severity live-service issues and safety-critical events accurately classified and routed to the downstream teams that act on them.
• Measure and improve triage health. Track throughput, misclassification, latency, backlog aging, automation coverage and regulatory-reportable issues, and use them to flag risks early and give leadership decision-ready updates.
• Program-manage triage tooling and automation. Bring requirements to the dedicated tools and automation team, help sequence what gets automated, and track delivery, adoption and the capacity it frees.
• Manage intake and escalation. Maintain the intake paths, escalation criteria and shared boards partner teams rely on.
• Plan commitments and capacity. Turn milestones into quarterly triage commitments and forecast demand across onshore, offshore and vendor teams

Qualifications

• Systems-Oriented Background: 3+ years in technical program management or engineering operations, with a systems mindset: you see a program and its hardware-software systems as connected parts, and trace how a change ripples upstream and downstream. Bachelor's in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Data fluency: experience writing your own queries and dashboards on high-volume issue or operational data, and a track record of using metrics to change how work runs.
• Tool-builder disposition: experience building light tooling to run your own program, and partnering with engineering to automate manual work.
• Stakeholder leadership and communication: proven ability to align teams without direct authority and give leadership clear, concise updates.
• Structure from ambiguity: a track record of breaking a complex or ambiguous problem or goal into workstreams, milestones and owners.

Bonus Qualifications

• Autonomous vehicle, robotics or other safety-critical experience, ideally with simulation, log replay or regression testing.
• Experience program-managing internal tools or automation through to adoption.
• Python or SQL, plus Jira and Confluence.

$171,000 - $219,000 a year Base Salary Range There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
