Job summary

Corning is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the Optical Mounting Technologies portfolio within Advanced Optics, supporting Precision Optics and Aerospace & Defense applications.

You will drive the execution of development programs, define the technology roadmap, and secure funding while balancing near-term manufacturing needs with long-term capability growth. The role spans collaboration with Research, Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and relevant experience (MS + 10 years, PhD + 5 years).
• Program and portfolio management across multiple technical workstreams.
• Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead adhesive and next-generation materials development from lab to plant testing and scale-up.
• Ensure supply continuity through supplier management and second sourcing.
• Develop and maintain the Optical Mounting Technologies roadmap aligning with business objectives.
• Lead development programs spanning new adhesives, optomechanical integration, and non-polymer bonding.
• Establish priorities, secure funding, and manage multi-year budgets.
