Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for its Data Center Operations. You will lead complex projects related to Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems across Greenfield and Brownfield sites, coordinating with internal and external teams to define scope, schedules, and budgets.

You will analyze operational data, develop dashboards, and drive process improvements while mitigating risks with vendors and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for greenfield and retrofit sites.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure using BMS/EPMS data.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health and optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with operations teams and vendors to mitigate risks.

Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience with data centers.

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering.



Preferred qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data centers, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, defense and aviation).

  • Equivalent trade backgrounds in electrical or mechanical systems.

  • Ability to leverage AI and automation tools (e.g., Large Language Models (LLMs), App Scripts) to streamline technical program management workflows.

  • Train and assist internal team with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of BMS, and EPMS and SCADA systems.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:


  • Lead technical projects, such as those involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for both Greenfield (new build) and Brownfield (retrofit) sites. This includes developing project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, collaboration with internal and external teams.

  • Respond to and resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure, including and utilizing data from BMS and EPMS systems. This may involve troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors, and implementing preventative measures.

  • Collect and analyze operational data, including incident reports and system performance metrics, to identify trends and drive process improvements.

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health, identify optimization opportunities, and make data-backed recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with operational teams and vendors to mitigate any risks identified.
