Job summary

Google seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in global network deployment and operations. You will plan requirements, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners including executives and engineers.

You will drive automation and scalable workforce solutions across network deployment, capacity augmentation, and repair, leveraging your telecom data network knowledge in metro and data center environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience managing a telecommunications or data networking business unit.
• Experience with network infrastructure and Layer 1, 2, and 3 network services (e.g., dark fiber, DWDM).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Network Design, Capacity Delivery, and Field teams to translate network solutions into BOMs for third-party execution across multiple sites.
• Develop repeatable stateless work packages for third-party provisioners and coordinators to execute with minimal oversight.
• Work with site acquisition, Edge Infrastructure, and colocation providers on scalable deployment solutions and full life-cycle operations support.
• Support vendor selection, onboarding, and oversight; act as the primary technical escalation point for quality assurance and service improvement.
• Drive performance measurement, process improvement, and automation to optimize build quality and repair intervals.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will need knowledge of telecommunications data networks and how they are built and maintained in metros and data centers. You are expected to have the ability to work effectively across multiple functions inside and outside of Google to develop creative and scalable approaches to deploying and operating our network globally.
