Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs from start to finish. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners.

You will explain analyses to executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers. The Core team builds foundational elements across Google’s products, enabling safe and coherent user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in security assessments and network security.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
• Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
• Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported program(s).
• Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
• Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.

Job description

• Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in security assessments and network security.

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Security experience, particularly in either threat modeling, application security, system management, OS hardening, or network security concepts (e.g., segmentation, protocols used for layering security capabilities).
