Job summary

Google in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary information security programs across Google’s data centers. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners and executives.

You will drive OT security initiatives, collaborate with Global Server Operations, Procurement, and Engineering, and contribute to continuous improvements in industrial security across sites.

• Guide and optimize OT security programs to drive efficiency across multiple teams and measure OKR impact.
• Leverage control system insights to influence stakeholders across DC Central Operations and related teams.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience working on day to day site operations within industrial facilities (e.g., power plants, oil refineries, utilities, automotive or manufacturing).

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Direct experience working in an operational control room or plant environment (e.g., manufacturing, utility/power generation, data center operations, or heavy industrial operations).
• Direct experience with cybersecurity initiatives, threat assessments, vulnerability management, or incident response within an industrial control systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) environment.
• Experience with data analytics, SQL, dashboarding, or status reporting tools to track program metrics and communicate progress to leadership.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Data Center Central Operations is responsible for keeping these sites operating efficiently and safely. This role will provide the technical expertise and tactical site-specific support for innovation and continuous improvements to information security (e.g., PLCs, electrical switchgear and mechanical heavy equipment). The role will be responsible for working with numerous cross functional teams and stakeholders to implement a vision for innovative site security processes and technologies, as well as directly driving improvements across a basket of physical Data Center sites. Along with the rest of the Fleet Health team within DC Central Operations, you will work cross functionally with the larger Technical Infrastructure organization, collaborating with core teams in Global Server Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement, Data Center Operations, Advanced Technology and Innovation, DC Engineers, and other teams.

• Leverage control system insights and experience to influence and inform stakeholders across DC Central Operations, DC Software, and site-specific teams.
