Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
As a TPM on this team, you will eliminate the lag between Google’s public product announcements and their deployment in global customer centers on-campus. Google regularly debuts breakthrough AI and hardware innovations at tentpole events like Google I/O and Cloud NEXT. Your mission is to develop and operationalize a scalable demo reuse model—building a proactive pipeline that transitions transient event showcases into permanent, scalable installations across the global experience portfolio.
You will partner with teams before a launch occurs to identify reuse opportunities and to ensure demos align with their long-term strategic goals to ensure alignment between design, development, integration, and reliability teams.
You will scale impact by developing processes, tooling, workflows, third-party services, and internal and external partnerships that enable the team to amplify impact, reduce cost, and improve speed of delivery.
