Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II in Network Demand Management for its Cloud Networking team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will plan requirements, manage risks, and communicate with cross-functional partners as you lead multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.

You will optimize the demand plan, deliver insights on network demand trends, and drive improvements to forecasting models and planning cycles across Google's global infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, BigQuery, R, etc.) and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, etc.).
  • Experience with demand planning or forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the processes required to generate and publish a demand plan, understand business inputs and policies, and deliver key insights into network demand trends
  • Lead projects that strive for autonomous planning, evaluate new forecasting methodologies, and partner cross-functionally to find efficiencies in our planning processes
  • Define the process to operationalize the demand process for new network products
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to balance competing priorities and gain the necessary alignment to seamlessly deliver on organizational OKRs

You will be working closely with all of Google’s product areas to understand their network requirements and partnering with Google Global Infrastructure product, data science, engineering, and planning teams to deliver.
