Job summary

Google seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary utility infrastructure projects across the United States. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners and engineers alike.

The AI and Infrastructure team drives breakthrough capabilities, delivering AI at scale and hyperscale computing. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and education; US: $138000 - $197000 (+ 15% bonus target)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in the construction industry with focus on project/program management.
• Experience applying project controls principles (cost, schedule, scope, risk).
• Experience delivering utility infrastructure projects (power, water, roadways).

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for cost, schedule, and change reporting of all utility infrastructure projects within your region.
• Escalate project issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Maintain accuracy of project-level data in enterprise PM tools.
• Handle regional planning and forecasting contributing to a global infrastructure capital plan.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve existing project controls processes.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on project or program management.
• Experience applying project controls principles (e.g., cost, schedule, scope, and risk management).
• Experience delivering utility infrastructure projects, including power, water, and roadways.

Preferred qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience working in the data center sector or related mission-critical industries.
• Track record of successfully leading large cross-functional teams across multiple departments.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for the cost, schedule, and change reporting of all utility infrastructure projects within your designated region.
• Ensure the timely escalation of all project issues to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain the accuracy of and updates to project-level data within enterprise project management tools.
• Handle regional planning and forecasting to contribute to a global infrastructure capital plan.
• Engage collaboratively with stakeholders to document, maintain, and improve existing project controls processes.
