Technical Program Manager - Data Center Engineering, Global Integrated Facilities Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continual access to our customers' needs. We work on challenging problems involving complex variables and supply chain factors, seeking talented individuals to join our efforts.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at optimized costs. Key job responsibilities
  1. Engage with internal and external customers and support teams to understand and capture critical mechanical, electrical, and utility needs for current and future business requirements.
  2. Use these insights to define program requirements, create a program vision, and manage the product development roadmap for key segments of the data center infrastructure.
  3. Coordinate with multiple teams to develop business cases, prioritize products, and outline budgets and resources for implementation.
  4. Drive improvements in data center designs and communicate technical solutions to senior management.
  5. Own the entire product lifecycle from conception through deployment and deprecation.
  6. Develop features and deployment strategies to enhance performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency of applications and use cases.
  7. Communicate complex issues clearly to leadership, propose solutions, and assess risks.
  8. Work independently in a high-performance environment, exercising sound judgment across all levels of leadership.

Minimum qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in technical product or program management
  • 3+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, process development, and release coordination
