Group14 Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Business Development (Mandarin Speaking) in Seattle, WA. You will bridge commercial partners and internal engineers to drive SCC55 silicon‑carbon composite anode adoption and qualification programs.

You will own joint development agreements, sampling pipelines, and customer validation milestones from initial engagement to delivery, coordinating cross‑functional teams and communicating progress to executives.

Qualifications

• Mandarin fluency required (written and spoken).
• BS or MS in Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Chemistry, Electrochemical Eng, or related field.
• 4+ years in technical program management or similar roles in batteries/EV sectors.
• Hands-on familiarity with lithium-ion cell chemistry and silicon‑anode development.
• Ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and translate data for commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical program interface for commercial partners.
• Drive customer sampling programs and cell qualification cycles.

Group14 Technologies is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Business Development organization to drive customer adoption and technical qualification of our silicon-carbon composite anode material, SCC55®. Functioning as the key technical bridge between commercial partners, including top-tier automotive OEMs, consumer electronics leaders, and global cell manufacturers, and internal engineering teams, you will oversee joint development agreements, sampling pipelines, and customer validation milestones from initial engagement through commercial program delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Customer Technical Lead: Serve as the primary technical program interface for commercial partners, facilitating technical deep‑dives, specifications matching, and Joint Development Agreements (JDAs).
• Qualification Management: Drive customer sampling programs and cell qualification cycles to meet customer gating requirements.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: Partner closely with program managers, business development managers, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations to translate customer specifications into internal product roadmaps and technical deliverables.
• Risk & Timeline Execution: Establish project scopes, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure key program milestones are delivered on schedule.
• Technical Advocacy: Synthesize OEM testing feedback and battery testing data to refine application guidelines and present technical progress to external and internal executive stakeholders.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Language Requirement: Fluency in Mandarin (native or professional full‑working proficiency, written and spoken) is required to interface directly with major Asian cell manufacturing partners and supply chain stakeholders.
• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 4+ years of technical program management, application engineering, or technical customer success experience in the lithium‑ion battery, advanced materials, or automotive/EV sectors.
• Domain Knowledge: Hands‑on familiarity with lithium‑ion cell chemistry, silicon‑anode development, electrode formulation, and battery testing standards.
• Communication & Execution: Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder technical projects, translate complex data for commercial teams, and navigate high‑stakes OEM engagements.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

• Direct experience with silicon‑carbon composite materials or advanced battery chemistry scaling.
• Prior exposure to automotive OEM cell qualification standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP) or tier‑1 cell manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for partner meetings and facility visits.

Base Pay Range

$110,000 - $150,000 USD
