Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to support work for the U.S. Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) command. This role involves leading complex projects within a dynamic, large system-of-systems engineering portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as some systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage a master project plan, establish a governance framework, and maintain a weekly work management cadence to ensure timely completion of deliverables and achievement of milestones.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to manage all phases of the systems engineering lifecyclerequirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deploymentwhile ensuring alignment to stakeholder needs.
• Provide clear, accurate, and value-added communications to both team members and leadership.
• Perform status reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate with other project managers across the portfolio to ensure consistency of processes and deliverables.
• Help develop industry-specific delivery accelerators such as templates, best practices, and automation tools.
• Manage and monitor risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans.
• Maintain project collaboration and artifact repository sites.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
