- Translate business requirements and product roadmaps into program plans, milestones, deliverables, timelines and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate with Engineering, DevOps and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, dependencies and delivery commitments.
- Establish program governance, execution tracking, reporting mechanisms and regular review cadences.
- Monitor program progress against timelines, budgets, scope, quality standards and business objectives.
- Identify delivery bottlenecks, proactively resolve blockers and drive decisions to keep programs on track.
- Manage scope changes, competing priorities, resource constraints and cross-team dependencies.
- Drive Agile/Scrum execution, sprint coordination, release planning and continuous improvement in delivery processes.
Technical Leadership & Architecture Coordination
- Work closely with engineering leaders and architects to understand solution designs, technical dependencies, implementation approaches and delivery risks.
- Facilitate technical discussions, architecture reviews, design decisions and cross-team alignment.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs involving scalability, performance, security, maintainability, integration complexity and time to market.
- Ensure technical decisions align with product objectives, architectural standards and long-term platform strategy.
- Coordinate initiatives involving microservices, APIs, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, data processing and enterprise integrations.
- Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation plans in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance and challenge assumptions where required without becoming the primary owner of day-to-day coding or people management.
AI, Automation & Innovation Programs
- Drive the planning and delivery of AI-powered product initiatives involving LLMs, generative AI, NLP and intelligent workflow automation.
- Coordinate implementation of AI capabilities such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), document intelligence, structured output generation, data extraction and automated validation.
- Work with engineering and product teams to define technical milestones, acceptance criteria, dependencies and success metrics for AI initiatives.
- Ensure AI implementations address accuracy, reliability, performance, data privacy, security, explainability and operational requirements.
- Track model and provider integrations, evaluation activities, deployment readiness and production adoption.
- Facilitate the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that improve product capabilities, engineering efficiency and business outcomes.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary coordination point between technical teams, product leadership, business stakeholders and senior management for assigned programs.
- Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, resource requirements and delivery forecasts through clear and actionable reporting.
- Set expectations with stakeholders regarding timelines, scope, technical constraints and trade-offs.
- Facilitate program reviews, steering meetings, retrospectives and escalation discussions.
- Ensure business requirements are translated into clear technical deliverables and that engineering outcomes meet stakeholder expectations.
- Drive alignment across distributed teams and ensure accountability for commitments and decisions.
Risk, Quality & Release Management
- Maintain program-level risk, assumption, issue and dependency tracking, with clear ownership and mitigation plans.
- Establish appropriate quality gates, acceptance criteria, testing milestones and release-readiness processes.
- Coordinate integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, security assessments and production releases.
- Track critical defects, technical debt, operational concerns and unresolved issues that may affect delivery or product reliability.
- Ensure delivery processes support security, compliance, auditability and enterprise customer requirements.
- Conduct post-release reviews and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement & Program Metrics
- Define and track meaningful delivery metrics, including milestone adherence, predictability, lead time, defect trends, dependency resolution and release quality.
- Improve planning, estimation, prioritization, resource coordination and cross-team execution practices.
- Standardize program documentation, decision logs, status reporting and escalation processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, delivery efficiency and collaboration.
- Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience in software development, technical delivery, engineering or technology program management.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technical projects or programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, release management and program governance.
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology initiatives within agreed timelines and quality expectations.
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise application architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience managing dependencies, risks, competing priorities, scope changes and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with both senior business stakeholders and hands-on engineering teams.
- Experience working with remote or geographically distributed teams.
