Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced IBM Maximo Solution Architect and Technical Program Leader to lead large-scale Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine deep hands‑on expertise in IBM Maximo 7.6.x and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) with strong enterprise architecture, integration, cloud, program management, and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
This individual will be responsible for defining enterprise EAM strategies, architecting complex Maximo/MAS solutions, leading multidisciplinary technical teams, establishing delivery governance, and ensuring successful execution of large transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, modernization, and support of IBM Maximo 7.6.x and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments.
- Serve as the technical authority for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) architecture, application design, integrations, data, cloud, and infrastructure.
- Develop enterprise-level Maximo/MAS solution blueprints, technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and implementation strategies.
- Design solutions supporting asset management, work management, preventive maintenance, inventory, procurement, purchasing, and maintenance operations.
- Architect integrations between Maximo and enterprise platforms including ERP, SAP, GIS, HR, Finance, IoT, analytics, and other business applications.
- Lead Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), API, REST/SOAP, middleware, and enterprise integration architecture.
- Lead data migration, data conversion, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and master-data activities for Maximo implementations and upgrades.
- Establish data governance, master data management, data quality, and information management standards.
- Provide technical leadership for cloud-based Maximo/MAS deployments, including architecture, scalability, security, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, integration, data, and application teams to ensure successful end-to-end solution delivery.
- Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, technical governance meetings, and solution validation sessions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO-level executives, business leaders, program sponsors, and technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable Maximo/MAS technical solutions.
- Lead large-scale EAM transformation programs with multiple workstreams and geographically distributed teams.
- Manage program scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, quality, and delivery milestones.
- Establish program governance, executive reporting, delivery frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Develop implementation roadmaps, resource plans, project plans, release strategies, and dependency management plans.
- Support program estimation, financial planning, budget tracking, forecasting, and resource management.
- Monitor overall program health and lead resolution of critical technical, operational, and delivery issues.
- Manage risks, escalations, change requests, assumptions, dependencies, and corrective action plans.
- Lead geographically dispersed teams consisting of solution architects, developers, Maximo administrators, functional consultants, integration specialists, data teams, and support resources.
- Mentor technical teams and establish architecture and engineering best practices.
- Lead change management, training, deployment, production transition, and application support activities.
- Define and track KPIs, operational metrics, customer satisfaction, and business-value measurements.
- Manage Statements of Work (SOWs), vendors, contractual deliverables, and change requests.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security, cybersecurity, regulatory, audit, validation, and compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, delivery excellence, PMO governance, and operational maturity across EAM programs.
- Support client presentations, solution proposals, estimates, technical assessments, and business development activities when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of IBM Maximo experience, with at least 5 years in Maximo Solution Architecture or technical leadership.
- Strong experience with IBM Maximo 7.6.x and Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale IBM Maximo/EAM implementations, upgrades, modernization, and transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of Maximo application architecture, configuration, customization, integrations, and enterprise deployment models.
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST APIs, web services, middleware, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience architecting integrations with ERP, SAP, GIS, HR, Finance, IoT, analytics, and other enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of data migration, data conversion, master data, data governance, data quality, and reconciliation.
- Experience with cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure, preferably IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of application security, performance, scalability, availability, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Demonstrated experience leading programs valued at $5M+, involving multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
- Strong program governance, PMO, financial management, resource planning, risk management, and delivery management experience.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams of technical and functional resources.
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Strong customer-facing consulting and client relationship management experience.
- PMP certification required.
- PMI-ACP certification required.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex Maximo/MAS programs on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Ability to drive customer satisfaction, delivery excellence, and long-term account growth.
