Job summary

Cascade PBS in Seattle is seeking a Production Technician II to perform technical production across live, studio, taped and remote projects, helping to deliver high-quality storytelling and trusted broadcasts. The role requires an AA degree or equivalent experience and at least two years in a similar position.

Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, work some evenings and weekends, and work onsite with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• AA degree from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience.
• Two years’ experience as a Production Technician II or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical production duties: G&E, lighting, floor direction, switching, camera operation, audio, graphics, teleprompter, and set dressing.
• Coordinate technical functions for live, studio, remote productions, and field recordings.
• Set up and serve as technical facilitator for teleconferences and events.
• Advise producers and directors to optimize production equipment.
• Identify and report faulty equipment and procedural problems.
• Assist with inventory and storage of production equipment.
• Collaborate with the team to foster a positive culture and growth.
• Other duties may be assigned with or without notice.
