Job summary

VNS Health is seeking a Product Manager to lead product management efforts across the lifecycle, driving agile practices and cross‑functional collaboration. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, define backlogs, and work closely with development teams and Workday specialists.

The role requires 5+ years in product management, 3+ years Workday experience, and a healthcare background to navigate HR and finance processes.

Qualifications

  • Certifications: Scrum Certified Product Owner preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related fields.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on Workday experience including HR/HCM and Finance perspectives.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of HR and finance processes, with experience gathering requirements and writing user stories.

Responsibilities

  • Define persona profiles for Buyers and End Users.
  • Build Product Backlogs with Features and User Stories.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and development teams to ensure quality execution.
  • Define Testing Plans and coordinate UAT with QA to minimize defects.
  • Manage Release Planning, training, demonstrations and Go-Live communications.
  • Track outcomes and value realization across the product lifecycle.

Overview

Manages Products throughout their Product Lifecycle, building out a Product Portfolio as their space matures. Leads innovation within the Technical Product domain within the scope of their line of business - leads pilot projects and experiments for new products and identifying high impact areas with potential for disruption, while extending the Product Lifecycle for existing products through enhancements that deliver continued value for End Users. Strong advocate for Agile Product Development - participating in and supporting Agile Ceremonies where appropriate. Lead cultural transformation as an evangelist of Product Management best‑practices, and as a well‑positioned leader connecting cross‑functional teams and facilitating collaboration.

What You Will Do
  • Builds deep understanding of problem statements, pain points, challenges, opportunities, goals, and objectives of the business, considering them as Internal Customers.
  • Defines Persona Profiles for Buyers and End Users.
  • Builds Product Backlogs for the associated Product Development Teams, defining Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria that translate the business requirements into technical requirements for development teams.
  • Collaborates closely with Scrum Masters, Product Development Teams and Application Owners to ensure efficient and high‑quality execution of Product Development.
  • Defines Testing Plans for enhancements and releases, including UAT and working with QA to minimize defects and production support.
  • Manages the Release Planning - End User Training, Demonstrations and Outage and Go‑Live Communications.
  • Leads Outcome Tracking - informs product decisions throughout the lifecycle based on value creation and realization.
  • Tracks Product Outcomes - ensures a high‑quality product is developed and is adopted and utilized effectively.
  • Identifies, benchmarks and tracks Operational Outcomes - collaborates with Buyer and End User on the operational outcomes that are critical to success, and tracks KPIs throughout a Product Lifecycle.
  • Ensures Value Realization - Assumes Product and Operational Outcomes are being met, ensures the connected business outcomes are being realized.
  • Proactively works with internal customers to ensure that emerging needs are met, and value is being continuously delivered.
  • Manages risk, and ensures alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security).
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Scrum Certified Product Owner certification preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience, required

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, HRIS, finance systems, enterprise applications, or business systems delivery.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on Workday experience.
  • Experience configuring Workday and running Workday implementation or enhancement projects. Experience with Workday from both an HR/HCM and Finance perspective.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes such as employee lifecycle, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, payroll, time tracking, absence, and workforce management.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes such as accounting, procurement, expenses, budgeting, cost centers, financial reporting, and approvals.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing business processes, writing user stories, and managing product backlogs.
  • Experience working with Workday integrations, reporting, security roles, business process configuration, and tenant management.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise system architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, and access controls.
  • Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or enterprise delivery environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across HR, Finance, IT, Compliance, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
Pay Range

USD $109,900.00 - USD $146,500.00 /Yr.
