We're seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in PKI and cryptography to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of our Public Trust Certificate offerings. This role bridges technical depth and customer needs, driving products that meet the highest security standards while aligning with market demands. The ideal candidate will have a software engineering background, hands-on experience with PKI systems, and a strong understanding of public trust certificate ecosystems.

As our Technical Product Manager, Public Trust & Certificates, you'll support HID's success by:
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements, IETF RFCs, eIDAS, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Addressing technical issues related to web PKI by understanding, debugging, and resolving them with stakeholders.
  • Leading and co-owning compliance efforts with product engineering, registration, PKI, and other teams.
  • Defining and prioritizing product features, focusing on PKI, S/MIME, TLS/SSL, and cryptographic standards.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring product compliance.
  • Acting as IdenTrust's technical champion in standards organizations and influencing standards documents.
  • Documenting and mapping policy requirements with internal teams.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product teams to translate requirements into stories and technical designs.
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting PKI hierarchy and certificate lifecycle issues.
  • Monitoring industry trends and emerging threats to inform strategy.
Your Experience and Background include:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in technical product management, ideally in PKI or security domains.
  • Strong software engineering background (3+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with PKI ecosystems and certificate authority software.
  • Familiarity with S/MIME, TLS/SSL, code signing, and Federal PKI frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic standards like post-quantum cryptography is a plus.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, FIPS, HIPAA) and industry bodies.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM are a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
