Referment is a quantitative investment firm seeking a Technical Product Manager to join a macro trading group in New York with collaboration to India. You will work at the intersection of users and engineering to shape products from discovery through rollout.

The role focuses on effective delivery and workflow improvements, with opportunities to influence product vision and strategy over time.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Up to five years of experience in product management, software development, or related field.
• Ability to turn user needs into structured requirements and balance priorities.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort discussing technical concepts and architecture with sound judgement.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with traders, developers and cross-functional technology teams in New York and India to understand user needs and deliver internal trading and position-management tools.
• Lead discovery and project scoping, translating business needs into clear product and technical requirements.
• Prioritise work, track progress and move projects through development, rollout, feedback and iteration.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions so solutions are robust and aligned with business objectives.

Referment is working with a quantitative investment business seeking a Technical Product Manager to join a macro trading group. The team brings together traders and developers to identify opportunities across asset classes and build portfolios, supported by internal technology for trading, position management and operational workflows.

You will work at the intersection of users and engineering, developing the business and technical context to shape products from discovery through rollout. The initial focus is effective delivery and workflow improvement, with scope to contribute to product vision, roadmap and strategy over time.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Up to five years’ experience in product management, software development, technical project management or a related field.
• The ability to turn user needs into structured requirements, balance competing priorities and drive work through completion.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort discussing technical concepts, design decisions and architecture, with sound judgement and close attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

Experience with distributed teams, financial systems, trading workflows or generative AI would be useful but is not essential.

This could suit an early-career technical product manager, software engineer moving towards product ownership, or technical project manager who wants to work closely with trading and engineering users.
