• Ability to translate business problems into scalable system requirements and behaviors.

Job description

As a Senior Technical Product Manager at Functionize, you will own the development of complex, AI-powered systems that power intelligent test automation at scale. You’ll operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and machine learning, driving technical product strategy, defining system behavior, and delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.

This role requires strong technical depth, systems thinking, and the ability to partner closely with engineering to make critical architectural and product decisions.

What You’ll Own

• Define and drive the technical product strategy and roadmap for AI-powered testing systems, aligning platform capabilities with customer needs and business goals.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from system design and requirements through delivery, experimentation, and iteration.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable system solutions, including APIs, data flows, system behaviors, and edge cases.
• Partner with engineering to drive architecture decisions and technical trade-offs across scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Drive development of AI/ML-powered features, including defining evaluation frameworks, feedback loops, and continuous improvement in non-deterministic environments.
• Define and monitor system and product-level metrics to measure performance, user impact, and business outcomes.
• Prioritize initiatives based on technical feasibility, business impact, and user feedback, managing dependencies and execution sequencing.
• Ensure technical capabilities translate into intuitive user experiences and real customer impact, grounded in a deep understanding of user workflows.
• Act as a bridge between R&D and GTM, aligning stakeholders and driving clear, decisive execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of owning technical, platform, or AI-driven products.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and distributed systems, with the ability to engage in technical design and system-level decision-making.
• Experience working closely with engineering on complex technical domains (e.g., AI/ML systems, DevOps, infrastructure), driving scalable product outcomes.
• Ability to define clear technical requirements and system behaviors, and break down complex initiatives into actionable plans.
• Demonstrated experience prioritizing work based on technical feasibility, business impact, and user feedback, making informed trade-offs across scalability, performance, and system design.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to guide product and system decisions.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, driving alignment and execution across cross-functional teams.
